Aims & Scope

AIS3 – Artificial Intelligence Studies in Society, Science and Systems; is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to examine the transformative effects of artificial intelligence on societal, scientific and systemic structures from an interdisciplinary perspective. The journal's primary objective is to provide a publishing platform for original academic work that addresses artificial intelligence not merely as a technical development, but as a multidimensional phenomenon with a decisive impact on knowledge production, decision-making processes, social relations, and institutional structures.

AIS3 covers theoretical, experimental, and applied research on artificial intelligence across various disciplines, primarily the social sciences, but also including the humanities, natural and engineering sciences, health sciences, law, economics, education, communication, art, and design. The journal prioritises studies that encourage interdisciplinary interaction, are based on critical thinking, and are methodologically robust.

The main subject areas covered by the journal are as follows:

The effects of artificial intelligence on social structure, culture, identity and everyday life
Artificial intelligence and social sciences (sociology, political science, economics, psychology, communication, etc.)
Artificial intelligence ethics, law, governance, and policy-making processes
Pure artificial intelligence studies and algorithmic methods
Machine learning, deep learning, and data-driven systems
Artificial intelligence-supported decision-making and intelligent systems
The effects of artificial intelligence on scientific research methods and knowledge production
Artificial intelligence and applications in education, health, economics, and public administration
Artificial intelligence and art, design, media, and creative industries
Social risks, opportunities, and sustainability aspects of artificial intelligence-based systems

AIS3 aims to make comprehensive and critical contributions to academic literature by bringing together theoretical discussions, empirical findings, and application examples of artificial intelligence in different disciplines. The journal adopts a publication policy that supports innovative approaches, transcends disciplinary boundaries, and encourages globally debatable academic production.
